Before the luncheon and author presentation, please join us at the Marketplace from 10:00am-12:00pm. The Marketplace will feature our raffle, silent auction, vendors, and a chance to learn about & support each Words Alive program.
Words Alive provides weekly in-classroom programming for students and teachers from over 180 classrooms in San Diego. Each fall and spring, we donate a brand new book to over 4,500 program participants. For $20 you can purchase a bag of books or for $50 a classroom set of books. You do not need to be present at the luncheon to donate.
Spin the Wheel, Win an Author
Win a local author for your next book club meeting. For $25, purchase an opportunity to spin the wheel and win an author or a book. You do not need to be present to win. You can also support our Teen Services program by purchasing an anthology of work from this year's Art & Literacy Program.
Kinder Tool Kit
Words Alive provides 10.5 hours of parent education covering early literacy development topics for hundreds of parents each year. We work to empower parents with the knowledge and resources they need to feel confident as their child's first and most important teacher. At graduation each child receives a Kindergarten Readiness Backpack filled with school supplies, books, and a parent workbook to help continue the learning at home. Your donation of $20 will help provide these tools to a Family Literacy Program graduate. You do not need to be present at the luncheon to donate.
