Gratitude as a Mindfulness Practice

Post by Mindfully Empowered in partnership with Words Alive!

Gratitude has been defined as “thankful appreciation for what an individual receives, whether tangible or intangible.”  With gratitude, we acknowledge the goodness in our lives. In uncertain and difficult times such as these, practicing gratitude may not come easy or feel natural, yet it can have a profound effect on how we feel and show up.

Did you know, the simple act of expressing gratitude can actually raise our happiness levels? It’s true!  Research shows that when we choose to focus on the gifts in our lives, we experience improvements in our health and overall well-being.
