Write down all of the emotions you have felt regarding quarantine and COVID-19. Then, write down the emotions you have felt regarding the #BlackLivesMatter movement and the issues that have prompted it. From your list, what is one emotion that is the same between both?
Take a moment to reflect on the word "home." What does it mean to you? What makes your home different from someone else's? How has the pandemic changed your idea of home?
Choose a familiar object near you — it could be your alarm clock, or a poster on your wall, or your favorite hoodie. Write a short story about quarantine life from the perspective of that object!
