About the Students

The Future is Us celebrates and amplifies over 350 student voices from grades 2-12 at three Title I schools, who each began working on the project in February 2020. Each class read the book as part of their Words Alive classroom programming. Through discussion sessions, writing exercises and the art project with trained volunteer facilitators, students developed a deeper understanding of the books and connected what they read to the world!
